Multi-Engine Rating

No Specific Flight Hour Minimum

A multi-engine rating allows pilots to operate aircraft with more than one engine and is earned through proficiency-based training rather than a set minimum number of flight hours.

The training focuses on critical skills unique to twin-engine aircraft, including engine-out procedures, Vmc (minimum control speed) demonstrations, and an in-depth understanding of twin engine aerodynamics. This rating enhances a pilot’s knowledge and handling capabilities, especially in scenarios involving asymmetric thrust, making it an essential step for those pursuing advanced aviation careers.
